Kate Mittendorf and Kevin Pereira were united in marriage March 12 at Broadway United Methodist Church with the Rev. Earl Black officiating. Music was provided by the Serenade String Quartet and Nancy Ryan of Paducah, organist.
The bride is the daughter of Thomas and Darla Mittendorf of Metropolis, Ill.
The groom is the son of Dennis and Mary-Katherine Pereira of Erie, Colo.
The bride chose Ms. Tracy Douglas of Metropolis as her maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Mrs. Kortney Bullock Kennedy and Ms. Brooke Armstrong, both of Metropolis. Miss Katie Frazine, daughter of Ryan and Carla Frazine of Metropolis, served as flower girl. Ringbearer was Liam Hayes, son of Josh and Amy Hayes of Ashland City, Tenn.
The groom chose Ian Boyd of Cincinnati as his best man. Groomsmen were Jake Hall of Nashville, Tenn., and Isaac Mittendorf of Metropolis, brother of the bride. Serving as ushers were Adam Duley of Metropolis, Collin Foster of St. Peters, Mo., and Derek Foster of Edwardsville, Ill.
A reception followed at Madison Hall. Mrs. Samantha Travis Bremer of Paducah attended the guest register.
The bride is a 2006 graduate of Massac Community sports_high_school in Metropolis and earned a bachelor’s degree in biochemistry in 2010 from DePauw University in Greencastle, Ind. She is pursuing a doctorate degree in biomedical sciences at Vanderbilt University in Nashville.
The groom is a 2006 graduate of Holy Family sports_high_school in Broomfield, Colo., and earned a bachelor’s degree in biochemistry in 2010 from DePauw University. He is pursuing a doctorate degree in biomedical sciences at Vanderbilt University.
They reside in Nashville.
