CADIZ — Karen Brown, 61, of Cadiz died Tuesday, February 26, 2013, at her home.

She had worked as the assistant manager at Fred’s in Cadiz.

She was a member of Cerulean Baptist Church.

She is survived by her husband, Dennis Brown; one son, Paul Smith of Cadiz; three stepdaughters, Amy White of Powell, Tenn., and Alicia Scott and Angie Bonefas, both of Independence, Iowa; two brothers, Richard Piper of Oshkosk, Neb., and Bill Piper of Denver; four sisters, Sharon Christenson of Denver, Cathy Llewlyn, Holly Madigan, and Mary Lou Moore, all of Casper, Wyo.; 11 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by one sister.

Her parents were Edward W. Piper and Mamie Seeley Piper.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday, March 3, 2013, at Cerulean Baptist Church with the Revs. Mike Neal and Gary Mitchell officiating.

The family will receive friends from 1 p.m. until 2 p.m. Sunday at Goodwin Funeral Home of Cadiz.
