Emily Roxane Kaler and W.M. Rus Whalen will be united in marriage at 5 p.m. Saturday at First Baptist Church Carson Chapel in Paducah. All friends and relatives are invited to the ceremony and reception following at the Luther F. Carson Four Rivers Center.

Miss Kaler is the daughter of Mike and Roxane Kaler of Benton. Mr. Whalen is the son of Brad Whalen and Ms. Cathy Caudill, both of Cynthiana.

Miss Kaler is the granddaughter of Norman Morgan and Mrs. Ramona Turner, both of Paducah, and Jerry and Bennie Lou Kaler of Paducah. She is a 2007 graduate of Christian Fellowship School in Benton and earned a bachelor’s degree in nursing in 2011 from Murray State University.

Mr. Whalen is the grandson of Dr. Neville Caudill and Ms. Eleanor Caudill, both of Louisville, and Gerald and Bonnie Whalen of Cynthiana. He is a 2004 graduate of Harrison County High School in Cynthiana and a 2008 graduate of Centre College in Danville with bachelor’s degrees in economics and dramatic arts. He is employed by the Kentucky Growers Insurance Co. in Lexington.
