June Ransom Spees, 79, of Lone Oak, passed away at 2:22 p.m. Tuesday, September 11, 2012, at Lourdes hospital. She had worked for Hendron Water District. She was a member of Woodlawn Cumberland Presbyterian Church and Cumberland Pioneers. She was secretary for West Kentucky Crime Stoppers, charter member of the Paducah Ambassadors, and was a member of Concord Homemakers.
She is survived by her sons, Phil Spees and wife Therese, Stan Spees and wife Cindy, and Greg Spees and wife Robbie, all of Paducah; five grandchildren, Andrea Poat and husband Charley, Corey Spees, Robert Spees, Janet Spees, and Monica Spees; and two great-grandchildren, Kailey Poat and Colin Poat.
She was preceded in death by her husband, V.E. “Gene” Spees. Her parents were Samuel Wilbur Ransom and Mary Tyler Ransom.
Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Sunday, September 16, 2012, at Lone Oak Chapel of Milner and Orr Funeral Home with the Rev. David Fackler officiating. Burial will follow in Maplelawn Park Cemetery.
Visitation will be 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. Saturday, September 15, 2012, at Lone Oak Chapel of Milner and Orr Funeral Home.
