CLINTON — Mr. Johnny L. Cole, 70, of Columbus, passed away at 12:20 p.m. Tuesday, August 14, 2012, at Lourdes hospital.

He was a member of the St. Jerome Catholic Church in Fancy Farm and was a construction worker.

Mr. Cole is survived by his wife, Margaret Rose Elder Cole; two sons, Jeff (Melinda) Cole and Henry (Renee) Cole, both of Columbus; one sister, Martha Jo (Popeye) Burgess of Clinton; and three grandchildren, Jessie Cole, Tolley Cole, and Anna Cole, all of Columbus.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Hub and Thelma Carter Cole; two sisters, Helen Hudson and Virginia Ann Cobb; and two brothers, Jim Cole and Boyd Cole.

Services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, August 18, 2012, at St. Jerome Catholic Church in Fancy Farm with Fr. Darrell Venters officiating. Inurnment will follow in the St. Jerome Cemetery. Friends may call after 9 a.m. Saturday at St. Jerome Catholic Church.
