BENTON — Joe Thomas Thweatt, 84, of Benton, died Friday at Murray-Calloway County Hospital in Murray.
He was a retired carpenter and he was a member of Carpenters Local 357 in Paducah.
Surviving is his wife, Loraine Thweatt; three sons, Glen Thweatt of Henderson, Jerry Thweatt of Russellville, and Ed Thweatt of Benton; two daughters, Kay Daniel of Shepherdsville and Karen Taylor of Benton; two sisters, Patsy Henson of Benton and Betty Thompson, both of Benton; nine grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by one brother. His parents were Arthur and Elvena Thweatt.
Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Marshall County Memory Gardens in Benton.
Friends may visit with the family between the hours of 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. Monday at Collier Funeral Home in Benton.
