MARION — Joe E. Morris, 86, of Marion died Saturday, December 22, 2012, at Crittenden County Hospital.

He was an Army veteran and member of Crooked Creek Church.

He is survived by his wife, Linda Morris; four sons, Jerry Morris of Lobelville, Tenn., Jay Morris of Princeton, Jeff Morris of Charlotte, N.C., and John Morris of Marion; one daughter, Joni Durfey of Marion; one brother, Jack R. Morris of Burleson, Tenn.; one half-brother, Steven Morris of Ashland; one half-sister, Laura Morris of Russell; four grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and three stepgrandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a daughter, Janel Lynna Morris. His parents were James W. and Lillie Morris.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, December 27, 2012, at Gilbert Funeral Home in Marion, with interment in Crooked Creek Cemetery. The family will receive visitors from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, December 26, 2012, at the funeral home.
