Mr. Lassiter and the former Wilma Louise Dummeier were married July 27, 1952, by James T. Bryant at First United Methodist Church in Metropolis, Ill. Their attendants were John R. Aikens and Patricia G. Speckman.

Mrs. Lassiter is a retired teacher from the Metropolis and Massac County school systems. She is the daughter of the late Bertha Oakes Wells and the late Emil Dummeier.

Mr. Lassiter is a retired insurance broker with Lassiter-McCluskey Insurance Co. in Metropolis. He is the son of the late Verla Aikens Lassiter and the late Jesse C. Lassiter Sr.

They have two children: Jay Lassiter of Upland, Calif., and Jayne DeCoste of Hiawatha, Iowa; and four grandchildren.
