CALVERT CITY — Mr. and Mrs. Jess Bennett of Calvert City recently celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary.

Mr. Bennett and the former Kay Butler were married Nov. 3, 1961, by the Rev. Robert Story at Marion Christian Church in Marion. Their attendants were Carol Butler and Jimmy Harnice.

Mrs. Bennett is the daughter of the late James Albert and Ruby Butler.

Mr. Bennett is retired from Brandeis Machinery. He is the son of the late Homer Bennett and the late Wilma Bennett Sigler.

They are the parents of Gregg Bennett of Louisville and Gina Estes of Calvert City. They have five grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
