Jerry Tinsley, 67, of Paducah went to meet his Lord and Savior at 12:30 p.m. Sunday, July 29, 2012, at Lourdes hospital.
Mr. Tinsley, an avid outdoorsman and hunter, was owner and operator of O Tyme Hickory Pit BBQ of Paducah. He was formerly employed at Paducah Riverport Authority and Igert Towing Company of Paducah. He was a member of Gospel Mission Church of Paducah.
He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Soronea Faye (Ramage) Tinsley; two sons, Jerry W. Tinsley and wife Stephenie of Smithland and Steven J. Tinsley and wife Michelle of St. Clairsville, Ohio; one daughter, Pawnee G. Tinsley Dennis and husband Brad of Ledbetter; six grandchildren, Bradley Dennis and wife Samantha, Emily Tinsley, Elizabeth Tinsley, Ethan Tinsley, Steven Zane Tinsley and Noah J. Tinsley; two great-grandchildren, Serenity Dennis and Kaylee Dennis; his mother-in-law, Mary Ramage of Paducah; two brothers-in-law, Kenneth Ramage and wife, Sharon of Louisville and Jerry Ramage and wife Glenda of Paducah; one sister-in-law, Carolyn Knighten and husband Donnie of Paducah; one aunt and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Willie N. Tinsley and Omanella Williams Tinsley; one brother, James N. Tinsley, and his father-in-law, Murvin Ramage.
Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Thursday, August 2, 2012, at Hughes Funeral Home of Paducah with the Rev. Fred Lowrance officiating. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens.
Visitation will be after 5 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
