KEVIL — Jennifer Dee McElya and William Christopher Linville were united in marriage July 30 at Newton Creek Baptist Church in Kevil with the Rev. Wayne Carter officiating. Music was provided by Denny Morehead and Jaime Morrow, both of West Paducah, vocalists; and Rhonda Krinard of Kevil and Ben Morehead of Paducah, pianists. Scripture reader was Cayci Abner of Berea, sister of the groom.
The bride is the daughter of Gary and Monna McElya of Kevil. The groom is the son of Billy and Betty Linville of Berea.
The bride chose her sister, Miss Melissa McElya of St. Louis, as her maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Mrs. Stephanie Morehead of West Paducah, sister of the bride; Mrs. Sarah Beth Renfrow of Halls, Tenn.; Mrs. Tiffany Bredow of Woodbury, Minn.; and Miss Libby Jarrett of Louisville. Miss Emma Morrow and Drew Morrow, daughter and son of Ethan and Jaime Morrow of West Paducah, served as flower girl and ringbearer.
The groom chose Ryan Parsons of Richmond as his best man. Groomsmen were Daniel Botkin of Durham, N.C.; Billy Linville, father of the groom; Josh Abner of Berea; and Matt Freeman of Paducah. Serving as ushers were Howie Morehead of West Paducah and Brent Hazelwood of Waco.
A reception followed. Miss Jennifer Blasdel of Paducah attended the guest register.
The bride is a 2002 graduate of Heath High School and a 2007 graduate of Murray State University with a bachelor’s degree in nursing. She is pursuing a master’s degree in nursing from Spalding University.
The groom is a 2003 graduate of Madison Southern High School in Berea and a 2007 graduate of Eastern Kentucky University in Richmond with a bachelor’s degree in finance. He is employed by PNC Bank in Louisville.
The couple reside in Louisville.
