HICKORY — Mr. and Mrs. James “Jim” Pollard of Hickory will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary with a reception from 2 to 4 p.m. Saturday at the Downtown Coffee Bar, 426 Broadway, Paducah. All friends and relatives are invited. The couple requests no gifts.

Mr. Pollard and the former Jeanetta M. Bearden were married April 22, 1961, at Hardmoney Baptist Church by the Rev. Jack Brown. Their attendants were Linda Bearden Wiley and Sam Pollard Jr.

Mr. and Mrs. Pollard work professionally as Mr. and Mrs. Santa Claus. Mrs. Pollard is also an author and Mr. Pollard is an internet marketer. She is the daughter of the late Donvin and Robbie Bearden. He is the son of the late Sam and Venita Pollard.

They are the parents of Valerie Pollard of Paducah and Barry Pollard of Fort Myers, Fla.
