Janet Fox, 77, of Murfreesboro, Tenn., formerly of Paducah, died at 8:24 p.m. Tuesday, August 27, 2013, at Community Care of Rutherford County in Murfreesboro.
She formerly worked as a registered nurse at Baptist Health Paducah and was a member of Broadway United Methodist Church in Paducah.
She is survived by three daughters, Shan Embry of Leitchfield, Caryn Price of Lexington, and Jena Sweeney of Smyrna, Tenn.; one sister, Jean Downs of Luling, La.; one brother, Gerald Smith of Niceville, Fla.; eight grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by one son, David Fox, and two brothers. Her parents were William K. Smith and Lila Waldrop Hooker.
Services will be at 3 p.m. Thursday, August 29, 2013, at Filbeck-Cann & King Funeral Home in Benton with the Rev. Wayne Clemons officiating. Burial will follow in Benton Cemetery. Friends may call after 2 p.m. Thursday, August 29, 2013, at Filbeck-Cann & King Funeral Home.
