GRANTSBURG, Ill. - Mr. and Mrs. James Manley of Grantsburg will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary today with a reception from 2 to 4 p.m. at the First United Methodist Church fellowship hall in Metropolis. All friends and relatives are invited.
Mr. Manley and the former Ruth Elaine Borem were married April 20, 1963, at the Methodist Church in Metropolis by the Rev. Roy Bough. Their attendants were James House and Margaret Farris, sister of the groom.
Mrs. Manley is the daughter of the late Andrew and Ruth Borem. She is a licensed practical nurse and is a part-time employee of First United Methodist Church in Metropolis.
Mr. Manley is the son of the late John and Leatha Manley. He is retired after 29 years at Honeywell.
They have three children: Andrea G. Underwood of Reidland, Carl Manley of Metropolis and Alan Manley of Grantsburg.
