MELBER — Mr. and Mrs. James Adams of Melber will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary with a reception from 2 to 4 p.m. today at their home. All friends and relatives are invited. The couple requests no gifts.

Mr. Adams and the former Linda Lee Crawford were married July 17, 1961, by Leslie G. Thomas at Vance Street Church of Christ in Asheville, N.C. Their attendants were Jimmy Eison and Ora Ruth Purdy.

Mrs. Adams is a retired teacher in the Lone Oak schools. She is the daughter of the late George E. Crawford and the late Anna Lee Eison Crawford.

Mr. Adams is a vocational consultant. He is the son of Helen Mullican Adams of Melber and the late Aaron Adams.

They have two children: Amy Howard of Melber and James Adams of Mayfield; and five grandchildren.
