PARIS, Tenn. — James Trice “Jim” Tinsley, 68, of Marion, Ky., formerly of Cottage Grove, faithful servant and beloved husband went to be with his heavenly father, August 9, 2012, at Western Baptist Hospital. James was born in Livingston County, Ky.

James leaves behind his beloved wife, Linnie M. Chittenden Tinsley; a son, Michael Tinsley of Tennessee; a daughter, Tammy Owens of Henderson, Ky.; a stepson, Michael Schaibley of Hazel, Ky.; a stepdaughter, Melissa (Wayne) Agent of Marion, Ky.; one sister, Barbara (John) Thatch of Lola, Ky.; two stepgranddaughters, Leana Riley of Marion, Ky., and Keeta Schaibley of Puryear, Tenn.; two stepgreat-grandchildren, Michael and Trinity both of Puryear, Tenn.

James was a truck driver for Norwood Farms and Norwood Construction.

James was preceded in death by his parents, Trice and Ruth Evelyn Tinsley; one brother; and one sister.

Visitation will be at Myers Funeral Home in Marion, Ky., Sunday, August 12, between the hours of 5 and 8 p.m.

Services will be held 1 p.m. Monday at the Good Hope Baptist Church in Hampton. Mr. Tinsley will lie in state at the church beginning at noon on Monday.

Burial to follow at Good Hope Cemetery in Hampton, Ky.

Brothers Bennie Chandler and Paul Wayne Chittenden will officiate.
