HICKMAN — James E. Ross, 91, of Hickman died Friday at his home.
He was a retired dredge supervisor with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers and a World War II U.S. Army veteran.
He was of the Methodist faith.
He is survived by three sons, Bobby Ross of Benton, Ill., Wayne Ross of Hickman, and Ralph Ross of Cayce; three daughters, Freida Carr of Hickman, Vickie Ross of South Fulton, Tenn., and Judy Shell of Union City, Tenn.; one brother, Harold Ross of Elkton; one sister, Frances Covi of Thornton, Colo.; 11 grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
His parents were Hillard and Lola Ross. He also was preceded in death by his wife, Linnie Marie Ross; one brother; and four sisters.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday at Strong Funeral Home with the Rev. Dewayne Uzzle officiating.
Burial will be in Hickman City Cemetery.
