James Crim Jr.
VIENNA, Ill. — James E. Crim Jr., 73, of the Brownfield community died at 12:24 p.m. Tuesday, June 4, 2013, at Baptist Health Paducah.
He was a former construction laborer. He was retired from the Illinois Department of Corrections, having worked at the Vienna Correctional Center and the Dixon Springs Impact Incarceration Program. He was a farmer. He was a member of the Masonic fraternity and former secretary of the Laborer’s International Union Local 803. He was a member of Macedonia Freewill Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife, B. Eudora Crossland Crim; his children, Michael E. Crim of Paducah, Bruce E. Crim of Brownfield, Marie E. Crim of Paducah, and Jason E. Crim of Carterville; two grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, and four brothers, Robert I. Crim of Temple Hill, Prentiss L. Crim of Stonefort, Ricky Crim of Metropolis and Rodney Crim of Brownfield.
He was preceded in death by one brother and two sisters. His parents were James A. Crim Sr. and Opal J. McCorkle Crim.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, June 8, 2013, at Bailey Funeral Home in Vienna. Burial will be in Macedonia Cemetery near Brownfield. Visitation will be from 8:30 a.m. until 11 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to Macedonia Cemetery, c/o Debra Crim, 220 Macedonia Road, Golconda, IL 62938.
