MURRAY — Mr. and Mrs. Robert “Jack” Wagar of Murray, formerly of Paducah, celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary with a family dinner at Patti’s restaurant in Grand Rivers.
Mr. Wagar and the former Betty Ann Barnreuther were married Feb. 5, 1951, in Corinth, Miss.
Mrs. Wagar is a retired special education teacher from the Murray City Schools. She is the daughter of the late John Hans and Louise Erwin Barnreuther.
Mr. Wagar is a retired maintenance supervisor for the Murray City Schools, a retired electrician and member of IBEW Local Union 816. He is the son of the late Murl Frank Wagar and the late Sarah Clark Wolfe.
They are the parents of Rebecca Cunningham and Jane Chapman, both of Murray, and the late Cindy Hill. They have six grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
