J.D. Farmer, 79, passed away Wednesday, August 1, 2012, at the Toledo Hospital. He was preceded in death by his wife of 55 years, Parilee, in 2008. J.D. was born on September 14, 1932, in Graves County, Ky., the son of Donnie and Mabel (Jones) Farmer. In 1953 he was drafted into the Army and served honorably in Korea and Japan until his discharge in 1955. He was a member of Teamsters Local 20 and drove for ATL until his retirement in 1994. J.D. was an active longtime member at Flanders Road Church of Christ. He loved taking trips back to Kentucky or as he called it “down home.” His greatest joys came from spending time with and helping his family, friends, and neighbors.

Surviving are his children, Robert Farmer and Debra (Lee) Seufer; brother, Billie (Mae) Farmer; and grandchildren, Jill, Dan, and Jeff Seufer.

His family wishes to extend their sincere thanks to the nursing staff at the Toledo Hospital and his brothers and sisters in Christ for all of their love and support. Those who wish to make memorial contributions are asked to consider the Flanders Road Church of Christ. Online condolences may be left for the family by visiting the website www.ansberg-west.com.
