Irene Yancy, 89, of Paducah, died at 10:10 a.m. Thursday at Countryside Care and Rehabilitation Center in Bardwell.

She was a member of Reidland Baptist Church, a member of the Smithland 417 Eastern Star, and a music instructor. She played piano for several area churches and local quartets.

She is survived by several nieces and nephews, including Melinda Reigle and Dwayne Farley, both of Paducah, and David Farley of California.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Phillip W. Yancy; her parents were William Erven and Nettie Williams Doublin.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Paducah with the Revs. Harold Council and Topper Council officiating. Burial will follow at Bethlehem Cemetery in Marshall County.

Friends may call after noon Monday at the funeral home.
