Irene S. Glisson, 85, of Paducah died Tuesday, December 4, 2012, at 9:52 a.m. at Western Baptist Hospital.

Irene was a member of Lovelaceville United Methodist Church, a homemaker and loved working with and having flowers. Irene spent a lot of time with her dog “Kiki” that was much company to her.

Survivors include one daughter, Theresa Enoch and husband Danny of  Melber, Ky.; one son, Marcus Glisson and wife Debby of Paducah, Ky.; one sister, Virgileen Stone and husband Charles of Kevil, Ky.; Known as “Nanny” to her four grandchildren, Brandy Enoch of Nashville, Tenn., Casey Glisson and wife Monica, Marcie Bennett and husband Don, Kayla Bryan and husband Matt; and four great-grandchildren, Chloe and Gracelyn Glisson, Cayden Henson and Gavin Bennett; several nieces; and nephews.

Preceding in death was her husband, Melvin Edward Glisson; her parents, Boyd and Stella Brown Stokes; and three brothers, Clarence, Roscoe and Glen Stokes.

Graveside services will be held Friday, December 7, 2012, at 1:00 p.m. at Bethel Cumberland Presbyterian Church Cemetery in Gage, Ky. Friends may call on Thursday, December 6, 2012, from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Lone Oak Chapel Milner & Orr Funeral Home.
