“Men in
Black III”
Will Smith is back as Agent J, who must go back in time to meet a younger — but still stoic — Agent K to save the world.
The buzz: Listen, I will be honest with you. I love “Men in Black.” I love Will Smith. And I think it will be a lot of fun to see it in 3D. If you are a regular movie-goer and have seen “The Avengers” or “Battleship,” make it a point to go see “Men in Black III.”
Showing at: Cinemark
Length: 106 minutes
3-D show times: 11:30 a.m., 1:15 p.m., 2:05 p.m., 3:50 p.m., 4:40 p.m., 6:25 p.m., 7:15 p.m., 9 p.m. and 9:50 p.m. on Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
Digital show times: 12:20 p.m., 2:55 p.m., 5:30 p.m. and 8:05 p.m. on Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
“Chernobyl
Diaries”
Set in a city that used to house people who worked at the Chernobyl nuclear reactors, a group of friends happens upon the abandoned city and discovers they are not alone.
Showing at: Cinemark
Length: 90 minutes
Show times: 12:50 p.m., 3:05 p.m., 5:20 p.m., 7:35 p.m. and 9:50 p.m. on Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
“The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel”
A group of retirees “outsource” their retirements and move to India, where they are lured by advertisements for a hotel. The hotel is a shell of itself, but the group learns life lessons because of it.
The buzz: There are some people who may hear “retirees” and nod off, writing this movie off. But please, go to maidenalleycinema.com and watch the trailer. It’s quirky, and is a great addition to the eclectic programming at MAC.
Showing at: Maiden Alley Cinema
Length: 124 minutes
Show times: 7 p.m. and 9:15 on Friday, 4 p.m., 7 p.m. and 9:15 p.m. on Saturday and 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. on Sunday.
