“Happy Feet 2”

As if the first movie wasn’t cute enough, Warner Brothers has seen fit to release “Happy Feet 2,” which continues Mumble’s story. Now, he’s a father, struggling with a son who is just as different as he once was. Joining Elijah Wood and Robin Williams are the voices of Sofia Vergara, Common, Pink and even Matt Damon and Brad Pitt.

The buzz: The original “Happy Feet” was hilarious, and nowadays animated films seem to have puns and humor built in for their adult audience. If you have to see a kids’ movie this year, this is the one.

Showing at: Cinemark.

3D show times: 12:15 p.m., 2:40 p.m., 5:05 p.m., 7:30 p.m., and 9:55 p.m.

Standard show times: 1:25 p.m., 3:50 p.m., 6:15 p.m., 8:40 p.m.

“Twilight: Breaking Dawn”

As the second to last installment in the “Twilight” series, “Breaking Dawn” is by far the most compelling book with the most controversial action. The movie follows Bella and Edward as they get married, have an unexpected pregnancy, and deal with unexpected the consequenses of their actions.

The buzz: If you were ever going to see a “Twilight” movie, this is the one. Out of all of the books, this was the most graphic and there is a lot of mystery around how they are going to film certain scenes. My advice? Wait out the crowd for a few days.

Showing at: Cinemark.

Show times: 11:40 a.m., 12:35 p.m., 1:35 p.m., 2:25 p.m., 3:25 p.m., 4:25 p.m., 5:15 p.m., 6:15 p.m., 7:15 p.m., 8:05 p.m., 9:05 p.m, and 10:05 p.m.

“The Debt”

Helen Mirren leads a trio of intelligence agents who hunted down a Nazi war criminal. The movie spans two different time periods — when the three agents were young and on their mission, and after they have retired and have to be concerned about their lives — with a plot filled with action and suspense.

The buzz: Anything Mirren acts in is gold, but “The Debt” is a great story with a lot of history behind it.

Showing at: Maiden Alley Cinema

Show times: 7 p.m. and 9 p.m. on Friday, 4 p.m., 7 p.m. and 9 p.m. on Saturday and 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. on Sunday.
