SYMSONIA — Ima Lee Waid, 79, of Symsonia died Monday, December 31, 2012, at Lourdes hospital.

She was a retired homemaker and a member of Crossroads Church in Mayfield.

She is survived by two sons, Kenneth R. Waid of Paducah, and Allen Waid of Mayfield; three daughters, Sharon Hunt and Pamela Buford, both of Symsonia, and Donna Ashley of Paducah; one brother, Jesse Sweeney of St. Louis; two sisters, Pauline Flynn and Betty Urbanoski, both of Chicago; 10  grandchildren; five great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Junior Ray Waid; three brothers; and two sisters. Her parents were William Calvin Sweeney and Izey Mae Sweeney.

Services will be at 1 p.m. Friday, January 4, 2013, at Lindsey Funeral Home in Paducah. Burial will be at Clarks River Cemetery in Symsonia. Friends may call from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
