METROPOLIS, Ill. — Ida Lee McBride, 83, of Metropolis died at 4:09 a.m. Thursday at Western Baptist Hospital.

Mrs. McBride is survived by her husband, Chester Don McBride; one daughter, Patricia Bissell of Quincy; one son, Christopher Fitzgerald of Birmingham, Mich.; one brother, Virgil Coburn of Whiteland, Ind.; four grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

Her parents were Carmie and Myrtle Coburn. She was preceded in death by one daughter, Marva Lee Knight.

Services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday at Aikins-Farmer Funeral Home in Metropolis with the Rev. Gary DeRossett officiating. Burial will follow at the Metropolis Memorial Gardens.

Friends may call after 6 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
