CADIZ — Herman “Buck” Anderson, 87, of Cadiz died Tuesday, April 30, 2013, at his home.
He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II. He formerly operated Anderson’s Market for 35 years. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge, where he was a 32nd degree Mason, a member of Rosenberg Masonic Lodge No. 881 F. & A.M. in Rosenberg, Texas, and was a member of Moslem Shrine Temple of the Valley of Detroit. He was a member of Needville Community Church in Needville, Texas.
He is survived by one son, David Anderson of Houston; one daughter, Linda Davis of Cadiz; two grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Hazel James Anderson; one granddaughter; three brothers, and three sisters. His parents were Roland and Dixie Webb Anderson.
Services will be at noon Saturday, May 4, 2013, at Goodwin Funeral Home with the Rev. Gene Oller officiating. Burial will be at Trigg Memory Acres in Cadiz. The family will receive friends after 4 p.m. Friday, May 3, 2013, at the funeral home.
