BENTON — Helen Beatrice Clayton, 84, of Benton died Tuesday, Jan. 22, 2013, at Western Baptist Hospital.

She was a homemaker and member of New Zion Baptist Church.

She is survived by three sons, Larry Dean Clayton of Benton, Wayne Lee Clayton of Lexington, and David Glen Clayton of Murray; two daughters, Dinah Carol Vire of Columbia, Tenn., and Martha Sue Conner of Fairdealing; six grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, James Howard Clayton; two brothers, and one sister. Her parents were John and Faith Blagg Canup.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 24, 2013, at Collier Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Tim Cole officiating. Burial will be in New Zion Cemetery in Benton.

Visitation will be between 5 p.m. and 8 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 23, 2013, at the funeral home.
