BENTON — Harry E. Bridges, 84, of Benton, formerly of Between the Rivers, passed away at 12:40 a.m. Friday, January 25, 2013, at Western Baptist Hospital.
He was a veteran of the United States Army, and worked as a chemical operator for National Carbide and Atochem.
He is survived by his two daughters, Carol Bridges and Peggy Bridges, both of Benton; his son, Danny and wife Lana Bridges of Benton; two grandchildren, Cole Bridges and Callie Bridges; and one sister, Lorraine Forsythe and her husband Oscar of Benton.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Margaret L. (Hudson) Bridges; four sisters, Daisy Pearle Scillion, Minnie Lee Boatright, Louise Gray, and Anna D. Mitchell; and two brothers, Randall K. Bridges and Hayes Bridges.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday, January 27, 2013, at Filbeck-Cann & King Funeral Home and Crematory. Bro. Rodney Wallace and Bro. Charles Frazier will officiate and burial will follow in Marshall County Memory Gardens. Friends may call after 5 p.m. Saturday, January 26, 2013, at Filbeck-Cann & King Funeral Home and Crematory.
