Danny and Vana Harrison of Melber announce the engagement of their daughter, Brooke LaDon Harrison, to John Logan Choat, son of John Choat and Paula Choat, both of Eddyville.

Miss Harrison is the granddaughter of Jack and Martha Brooks of Hickory, Mauddean Harrison of Melber and the late John B. Harrison. She is a 2004 graduate of Graves County High School in Mayfield and earned a bachelor’s degree in learning and behavioral disorders and elementary education in 2011 from Murray State University in Murray.

Mr. Choat is the grandson of Wanda Dobbins of Eddyville and the late Doug Dobbins, and Noble Choat of Eddyville and the late Anne Choat. He is a 2009 graduate of Lyon County High School and is a student at Murray State University.

Wedding vows will be exchanged at 6 p.m. May 12 at Melber Church of Christ in Melber. All friends and relatives are invited. Only out-of-town invitations are being sent.
