BENTON — Harold Sanders, 86, of Benton, died Sunday at Lakeway Nursing and Rehabilitation in Benton.

He was retired as president of Kroot Corp., a recycling plant in Columbus, Ind. He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II.

He was of the Baptist Faith.

He is survived by his wife, Brenda Sanders; two daughters, Patricia A. King and Connie Jett, both of Paducah; two sons, Dennis Sanders and David Sanders, both of Paducah; one sister, Ann Barnett of Karnak, Ill.; one brother, Darrell Sanders of Karnak, Ill.; seven grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

He was preceded in death by three brothers: and two sisters; his parents were Roscoe and Winifred Sanders.

Arrangements are being handled by Collier Funeral Home. Memorial services will be held later.
