CARRSVILLE — Mr. Harmon Hughes, 82, of Carrsville, passed away Thursday morning, September 27, 2012, at Western Baptist Hospital in Paducah.

He was a member of Lola Pentecostal Church and the National Rifle Association. In his spare time he enjoyed many activities such as hunting, fishing, gardening, and woodworking just to name a few.

He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Faye Hughes; four children, Steve Hughes of Carrsville, Darrel Hughes and his wife Lisa of Carrsville, Darla Milby and her husband Mike of Lexington, and Tony Hughes and his wife Terri of Reidland; seven grandchildren, Shannon Sexton, Autumn Nagel, Sarah Hunter, Justin Hughes, Craig Hughes, Ginny Stone, and Faith Craig; and nine great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a brother, George Hughes; his parents, George Washington and Lula Irene Peck Hughes.

Funeral services will be held Saturday at 2 p.m. at Lola Pentecostal Church with the Revs. Tim Fouts, Mike Grimes, and Mac Dossett officiating.

Burial will follow in Carrsville Cemetery.

Friends may call after 5 p.m. Friday in the chapel of Boyd Funeral Directors in Salem and after 1 p.m. Saturday at Lola Pentecostal Church.
