Mike and Becky Goodman of Chesapeake, Va., announce the engagement of their daughter, Cynthia Paige Goodman, to Brett Daniel Lewis, son of Danny and Marsha Lewis of Paducah.

Miss Goodman is the granddaughter of George Cox of Chesapeake, Va., and the late Margaret Cox, and the late Maurice and Mary Ann Goodman. She is a 2002 graduate of Atlantic Shores Christian sports_high_school in Virginia Beach, Va., and earned a master’s degree in linguistics in 2011 from Boston University in Boston.

Mr. Lewis is the grandson of Thelma Watkins Meeks of Paducah and the late Daniel Watkins, and the late Carl and Mary Nell Lewis. He is a 2001 graduate of Lone Oak sports_high_school and earned a bachelor’s degree in business management in 2010 from Mid-Continent University.

Wedding vows will be exchanged at 6 p.m. May 29 at Granby Theatre in Norfolk, Va. All friends and relatives are invited.
