Mr. and Mrs. James L. “Jimmy” Harris of Paducah recently celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary with a family dinner at Patti’s restaurant in Grand Rivers. The couple request no gifts.

Mr. Harris and the former Gloria Fay Henson were married Feb. 17, 1963, in Brookport, Ill. Their attendants were Kenneth Meadows and Suzanne Rottgering.

Mrs. Harris is retired from Brantley Orthodontics. She is the daughter of Mary Henson of Paducah and the late Trafton Henson.

Mr. Harris is retired from USEC and the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Local 816. He is the son of the late Chester and Louise Harris.

They have two children: Darall Harris of Madison, Ala., and Carol Beth Poat of Jackson, Mo.; and four granddaughters.
