Anthony and Julie Gilbert of Kevil and Stan and Tammy Brunston of Paducah announce the engagement of their daughter, Emily Renee Gilbert, to James Andrew Gray, son of Randall and Terrie Gray of Nashville, Tenn.

Miss Gilbert is the granddaughter of Albert and Goldia Pendergrass of Paducah, Richard and Barbara Redfern of Kevil, Larry and Gloria Gilbert of Wickliffe, Barbara Brunston of Wickliffe and the late Robert Brunston, and Bobby and Becky Rollins of Jackson, Mich. She is pursuing a degree in elementary education from Murray State University and is employed by Olivet Outreach Education in Paducah.

Mr. Gray is the grandson of Wallace Edwards of Linden, Tenn., and the late Clara Dell Edwards, and Will and Liz Gray of Franklin, Tenn. He is a 2008 graduate of Bethel University in McKenzie, Tenn., and is pursuing a master of divinity degree from the Memphis Theological Seminary. He is employed by New Hope Cumberland Presbyterian Church.

Wedding vows will be exchanged at 4 p.m. May 28 at Bethel Cumberland Presbyterian Church in Gage. All friends and relatives are invited. Only out-of-town invitations are being sent.
