Gertrude Harris Cox, 95, of Paducah, Ky. passed away at 5 p.m. Saturday, September 1, 2012 at the Parkview Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. She was born in McCracken County, Ky. Gertrude was a member of the Arcadia United Methodist Church.

She is survived by her daughters, Sherron Dunaway and husband John, Valjean Tucker and husband Dwayne, and Camile Duncan and husband Darrell all of Paducah, Ky.; five grandchildren, Leslie Ashley and husband Bill, Darren Tucker and wife Jennifer, Brian Duncan, Jessica Pearson and husband Joe, and Jeremy Duncan; four step-grandchildren, Paul Friedlander and wife Crystal, Tina Owen, Mark Dunaway, and Mitchell Dunaway; four great grandchildren; and five step-great-grandchildren; and several nieces; and nephews.

Gertrude was preceded in death by her husband, Volney Baine Cox, three sisters and four brothers. Her parents were Willaim Isman Harris and Armitta Jane Newman Harris.

Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Wednesday, September 5, 2012 at the Milner and Orr Funeral Home of Paducah with the Rev. Jerry Hoover officiating. Burial will follow in the Harris Cemetery.

Visitation will be 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. Tuesday, September 4, 2012 at the Milner and Orr Funeral Home of Paducah.
