Vicky Beale of Benton announces the engagement of her daughter, Buffy Michelle Free, to Todd Wiggins Brooks, son of Ann Brooks of Murray and the late Hamp Wiggins Brooks.

Ms. Free is also the daughter of the late Leland Watkins. She is the granddaughter of Melva Jean Stovall of Cadiz and Bernice Jackson of Paducah. She is a 1988 graduate of Marshall County High School and a 2000 graduate of Paducah Community College. She is employed by Community Alternatives in Benton.

Mr. Brooks is the grandson of the late Bob and Myrtle Morris, and the late Hamp and Margrete Brooks. He is a 1991 graduate of Calloway County High School and a 1994 graduate of West Kentucky Technical School. He is employed by Rotech Healthcare in Murray.

Wedding vows will be exchanged at 2 p.m. Feb. 4 at University Church of Christ in Murray. All friends and relatives are invited. Only out-of-town invitations are being sent.
