BENTON — Freddie Gene Edwards, 54, of Benton died Sunday at Jackson Purchase Medical Center in Mayfield.

He was a self-employed commercial fisherman.

He is survived by two sisters, Linda Story of Smithland and Melissa Renee Amis of Calvert City; and one brother, Gary Edwards of Benton.

He was preceded in death by a sister. His parents were Leon Gail Edwards and Virginia Elouise Edwards.

Graveside services will be at 5 p.m. Sunday at Marshall County Memory Gardens. Arrangements are being handled by Collier Funeral Home in Benton.
