Fred Johnson Jr.
Fred Johnson Jr. of Paducah was born November 18, 1944, in Charleston, Missouri, to Fred and Catherine Johnson.
He completed his earthly calling on March 29, 2013, and entered eternal peace with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Pastor Johnson accepted Christ in his life in 1984 and pastored at Shiloh Full Gospel Church for 23 years.
Pastor Johnson served four honorable years in the United States Navy. He later went on to 28 years of employment at USEC as a maintenance mechanic.
He was preceded in death by his parents; as well as four brothers; and one sister.
He leaves to cherish his memories, his loving wife of 47 years, Mahalia; three sons, Gradie (Teresa) of Atlanta, Ga., Marcus (Wynette) of Minot, N.D., and Marlon (Kayla) of Paducah, Ky.; one daughter, Mia of Paducah, Ky.; six grandchildren, Marquise, Jamia, Bryce, Marlon E., Gabrielle, and DeMarcus; he also leaves nine brothers and sisters; and a host nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.
Services for Pastor Fred Johnson Jr. will be held on Saturday, April 6, 2013, at 1:00 p.m. at the Shiloh Full Gospel Church in Future City, Illinois, with Pastor Mahalia Johnson officiating. Interment will be on Monday, April 8, 2013, at the Mound City National Cemetery in Mound City, Illinois, with military honors provided by the Illinois National Guard and area veterans.
Massie Funeral Home in Mounds, Illinois, is in charge of the arrangements.
