MADISONVILLE — Evangeline McDowell, 89, of Madisonville died at 3:30 a.m. Wednesday at her daughter’s home.

She was a nurse’s aide for Convalescent Center in Madisonville and a member of Liberty Baptist Church in Madisonville.

She is survived by three daughters, Martha Hinton of Paducah, Rebecca Webb of Eddyville, and Melanie Sookey of Evansville, Ind.; two sons, Jesse McDowell Jr. of Madisonville and Tommy McDowell of Eddyville; eight grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Jesse McDowell Sr.; three brothers; and two sisters. Her parents were Gala Leora Tyson and Hanson Tyson.

Services will be at 1 p.m. Friday at Harris Funeral Home in Madisonville with the Rev. Donny Neal officiating. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens in Madisonville.

Visitation will be from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
