Emma Lyda Rudolph, 97, of Paducah, Ky., passed away at 9:20 a.m. Monday, December 31, 2012, at Southgate Health Center in Metropolis, Ill. Lyda was a life-long member of Oakland Cumberland Presbyterian Church, co-farmed with her late husband of 77 years, William “Andy” Rudolph as they raised tobacco, cattle and had a dairy farm. She was truly a farmer’s wife and enjoyed her vegetable garden.

Survivors include one daughter, Martha Nell (Larry) Hamilton, Paducah, Ky.; one son, Jim (Holly) Rudolph, Murray, Ky.; five grandchildren, Larenda (Tim) Ferrell, Melinda (Bryan) Vice, Barry Hamilton, Brian (Megan) Rudolph, and Shelley (Todd) Powell; eight great-grandchildren, Kayla Ferrell, Hannah Ferrell, Gavin Vice, Addison Vice, Alexis Rudolph, Austin Rudolph, Zachary Rudolph, and Carson Gilliam; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, William “Andy” Rudolph; parents, E.L. Smith and Emma Chandler Smith; one grandson, Todd Christopher Rudolph; five sisters; and six brothers.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Friday, January 4, 2013, at Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Paducah with the Revs. Danny York and Wendell Ordway officiating. Burial will follow at Oakland Cumberland Presbyterian Church Cemetery.

Visitation will be after 5 p.m. Thursday, January 3, 2013, at Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Paducah.
