Elta Ailene Decker Green, 90, of Paducah, formerly of Leitchfield, passed away 4:54 a.m. Friday, June 14, 2013. at Baptist Health Paducah.
She was a graduate of Paducah Beauty School and the owner of Elta’s Beauty Shop. She was a member of Milburn Chapel Cumberland Presbyterian Church and she volunteered for The Senior Citizens, the Leukemia Foundation, was a Girl Scout Leader, and a big UK fan. In her later years she enjoyed traveling with family and friends.
Mrs. Green is survived by her two daughters, Patti Kerr of Paducah and Cherri Bell and husband Gary of Hickory; one son, Leo Green Jr. of Paducah; nine grandchildren, Kent Green, Megan Green Tamisiea, Ame Kerr, Andrew Kerr, Melisa Long, Dustin Bell, Jennifer Bragg, Angela Crick, and Charles Bell; 14 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and one very special life long friend, Juanita Vincent.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Leo Green Sr.; her daughter, Pamela Green; two sisters; and one brother. Her parents were Frank Decker, and Letha Napper Decker.
Funeral services for Mrs. Green will be 10 a.m. Tuesday, June, 18, 2013, at Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Paducah with the Rev. Doug Hughes officiating.
Graveside services for Mrs. Green will be 2 p.m. CST, 3 EST, Tuesday, June, 18, 2013, at McGrew Cemetery in Leitchfield.
Visitation for Mrs. Green will be from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. Monday, June, 17, 2013, at the funeral home.
