HICKMAN — Services for Elmer Williams, 83, of Hickman will be at 1 p.m. today at Strong Funeral Home in Hickman with the Rev. Charles Blair and Ricky Burton officiating. Burial will be in Brownsville Cemetery near Hickman.

Mr. Williams died at 5:15 a.m. Wednesday at Union City Manor Nursing Home in Union City, Tenn.

He was a retired self-employed carpenter and a member of Poplar Grove Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by three brothers. His parents were Harry and Essie Williams.

Mr. Williams is survived by his wife, Martha Williams; his son, Stephen Williams of Hickman; his daughter, Gail Williams of Hickman, five grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
