JOLIET, Ill. — Elizabeth Josephine Davenport, 87, of Joliet, formerly of Grand Chain, died at 4:03 p.m. Wednesday, February 27, 2013, at Presence St. Joseph Medical Center.
She had been a purchasing agent for the Army Corps of Engineers, and was of the Methodist faith.
She is survived by two daughters, Mary Garner of Joliet and Patricia Leach of Peoria; seven grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; and three sisters, Ruth Anne Brunson of Morehead, Ky., Mary Jones of Grand Chain, and Margaret Smelcer of Lexington, Ky.
She was preceded in death by one daughter, Elizabeth Morrow; two grandchildren; one sister; and three brothers. Her parents were Walter and Ruth (Lawrence) Reeves.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, March 2, 2013, at Bailey Funeral Home in Vienna. Burial will be in Zion Cemetery, east of Ozark.
Friends may call from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
