LA CENTER — Mr. and Mrs. Elbert Wayne Chandler of La Center celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary with a family dinner.
Mr. Chandler and the former Judy Stevens were married Feb. 4, 1961, by Martin Rudolph at Bandana Baptist Church in Bandana. Their attendants were Charlotte Stevens, sister of the bride, and John Pippin.
Mrs. Chandler, a retired teacher, is the daughter of Junior and Nellie Stevens of Bandana. Mr. Chandler is retired from Ballard Rural Telephone. He is the son of the late Letha Cooper and the late Jimmy Chandler.
They have three children: Mitch Chandler and Rod Chandler of La Center and Brandon Chandler of Kevil; and eight grandchildren.
