METROPOLIS, Ill. — Mrs. Elaine J. Williamson, 88, of Metropolis, passed away at 3:30 a.m. Saturday, September 22, 2012, at Calvert City Convalescent Center.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, September 25, 2012, at Metropolis First United Methodist Church. Rev. Jon Cockrel and Bro. Brad White will officiate. Burial will follow in Metropolis Memorial Gardens.
Elaine worked for several years at the Massac County State’s Attorney’s Office and retired from the Massac County Sheriff’s Department. She was a member of First United Methodist Church in Metropolis.
She is survived by a daughter, Pamela Howle Seward and husband Larry of Murray; a son, Michael Williamson and companion Rae Vied of Metropolis, Ill.; two grandchildren, Christopher Howle of Austin, Tx., and Cassie Howle White of Benton; great-granddaughter, Olivia Elaine White of Benton; sister, Mary Helen Bakehouse of Metropolis, Ill.; and four nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Lewis and Cassie (Heideman) Johnson; husband, Bob Williamson; two sisters, Marion Johnson and Lois Haverkamp Dillow; and an infant brother.
Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, September 24, 2012, at Miller Funeral Home in Metropolis and Tuesday from 9 a.m. until the funeral hour at the church.

Pallbearers will be Bob Griffey, Ted Holder, JD Haverkamp, Gerald Haverkamp, Kim Bakehouse, and Dwight Bakehouse.
Music will be provided by Stecia Gregory and Ron Roberts.
