Henry and Cindy Edwards of Clinton announce the engagement of their daughter, Hilary Ruth Edwards, to Michael Shayne Perkins, son of Tommy and Marilyn Perkins of Mayfield.

Miss Edwards is the granddaughter of the late Powell Clark, the late Dema Lane, and the late William H. and Ruth Edwards. She is a 2004 graduate of Hickman County High School and earned a bachelor’ degree in education in 2008 from Murray State University, where she was a member of Alpha Delta Pi sorority. She is employed by the Hickman County Board of Education in Clinton.

Mr. Perkins is the grandson of Robert and Bonnie Hughes of West Paducah, and the late Bill and Carolyn Perkins. He is a 2005 graduate of Mayfield High School and earned a bachelor’s degree in organizational communications in 2009 from Murray State University, where he was a member of Sigma Chi fraternity. He is employed by Mid-Continent University in Mayfield.

Wedding vows will be exchanged at 5 p.m. March 30 at First United Methodist Church in Clinton. All friends and relatives are invited. Only out-of-town invitations are being sent.
