LABELLE, Fla. — Edna Earle Webb, age 78, died Thursday, June 6, 2013, at Hope Hospice in Cape Coral, Florida.
Edna Earle is survived by two sons, Robert Webb of Paducah, and Dennis Webb of Bell Buckle, Tenn.; Two grandchildren, Tyler Webb of Kevil, Ky., and McCall Wagner of Paducah; four great-grandchildren, Beau Webb, Addie Webb, McNally Wagner and Keaton Owsley.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 49 years, Gobel Webb, and her parents, Vernon and Edith Sparks Barnhill.
Edna Earle retired after 40 years in education. She spent most of those 40 years in elementary education at Kevil Elementary and Bandana Elementary.
She was also principal of Bandana Elementary for several years. Edna Earle always put great value on education, she loved history and loved to read. She adored her students.
Edna Earle was also president of the United Methodist Women within the Holston Conference in Knoxville, Tenn., for several years. She had a bachelor of arts degree in elementary education and history, and a master’s degree in education and a Title I. Edna and her husband owned and operated Webb’s Pest Control for several years.
Funeral services will be Sunday, June 9, 2013, at 3:00 p.m. at Morrow Funeral Chapel in La Center with the Rev. Joel Jackson officiating. Interment will follow at Oscar Cemetery.
Visitation will begin after 12:00 Sunday at Morrow Funeral Chapel in La Center.
