Mr. and Mrs. Dennis F. Dycus of Franklin, Tenn., announce the engagement of their daughter, Lane Kathleen Dycus, to Aaron Daniel Carver, son of Mr. and Mrs. Anthony M. Carver of Paducah.

Miss Dycus is the granddaughter of Lois Dycus of Festus, Mo., and the late Frank Dycus, and the late George Crit and Kathleen Troutman. She is a 2003 graduate of Franklin High School in Franklin, Tenn., and earned a bachelor of fine arts degree in 2008 from Belmont University. She is employed by Pride Sports in Brentwood, Tenn.

Mr. Carver is the grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. Paul D. Tipps, and the late Mr. and Mrs. Aaron B. Carver. He is a 2000 graduate of Heath High School in Paducah. He earned a bachelor of science degree in 2004 from Middle Tennessee State University and a master of science degree in 2006 from Murray State University. He is employed by American Home Patient in Brentwood, Tenn.

Wedding vows will be exchanged at 4 p.m. Oct. 6 at Rosemary Beach, Fla.
