LA CENTER — Dr. and Mrs. Charlie J. Ogletree of La Center celebrated their 70th wedding anniversary on June 28.

Dr. Ogletree and the former Lila Evans were married June 28, 1941, by the Rev. Thomas Wheelis in Danielsville, Ga. Their attendants were Hazel E. Teasley, Bess O. Fleeger and Pauline Daniel.

They are the parents of Joy Ogletree Lindsey of La Center, Charlie Joe Ogletree Jr. of Hemphill, Texas, Michael Ogletree of La Center, the late Paula O. Brooks and the late Hazel O. Birdsong. They have 13 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren, three great-great-grandchildren and five stepgrandchildren.
